The Vles GO-bag is water resistant with multiple layers of waterproof material. The shell and the interior modules are made of 15000mm waterproof material. The supplies we provide come in durable plastic pockets that fit neatly inside the modules. We also provide a plastic document envelope for the RFID pocket of the convertible messenger bag. There's a high likelihood the emergency situation you encounter will involve water. Best be prepared.
The front of the Vles GO-bag opens completely, allowing you to see all three modules so you can easily get to what you need. In the dark during an emergency? It's critical to be able to get what you need without rifling through a complicated bag with minimal openings and lots of pockets.
In an emergency you may have to travel by train, by plane or on a bus. The Vles GO-bag meets airline guidelines for carry-on item sizes and will fit in the overhead racks of trains and long distance buses.
In an emergency you don't want anything that can snag and possibly hold you back. The Vles GO-bag has intentionally left off superfluous straps, webbing, bungies, loops and other schwag.
Being seen is essential when walking down dark streets or in nasty weather. The Vles GO-bag's reflective material is subtly sewn into the seams on the back of the bag and on the shoulder straps in front. If there's a reason not to be seen, it's easy to cover the reflective material with the duct tape included in the supplies we provide in the fully stocked bag.
Our YKK zippers are solid and reliable. We chose to use a metal puller with the addition of our zipper pulls. The zipper pull is bright, but if you want less visibility, simply take it off and you're conveniently left with the metal zipper puller to do the zipper work.
The Vles Go-bag provides a large water bottle/accessory pocket on the outside of the bag. We designed the pocket with a mesh bottom to let air flow. It's large and deep when open and lays flat, by tightening the two provided straps, when not in use. The straps would be a handy place to hang an item such as a hat when snagging is not an issue.
We provide a closed cell foam mat useful for basic sitting comfort...in a shelter, outdoors on pavement, in a park, etc. The mat is large enough for two peole to sit on or to change a baby on and can be easily cleaned. Why closed cell foam? Insulation, comfort, waterproof, and lightweight.
The Vles GO-bag provides two discreet zippered pockets located on the backpack waistbelt. The pockets are meant for credit cards, ID and cash, making these items easily accessible without having to take out your wallet. Conveniently, they are located on the same waist/shoulder belt used on the messenger bag so whatever you choose to put in the pockets stays with you when you convert into a messenger bag.

Left side or right side ... have it your way. We provide the flashlight, you choose where to carry it.
The handle for the wheeling option is hidden below a zippered pocket when not in use. The strong, double column handle has three adjustable heights, making ease of pulling an option even for the tallest amongst us.
The Vles GO-bag's individual fabric modules encourage organization for personal items, emergency and first aid supplies. We've intentionally made the modules roomy so there's plenty of space for your personal stuff. Additonally, we provide moveable dividers that act as shelves to separate and add to module organization.
The top module converts to a messenger bag. In case you need to travel light, or you just need to take a few things to the bathroom, this convertible module has got you covered. The waist strap of the main bag disconnects and becomes the shoulder strap of the messenger bag.
The Vles GO-bag can be used as a fully adjustable backpack or it can be pulled on its wheels. Sometimes the backpack option is optimal since it leaves hands free. Sometimes wheels are necessary if there's a long slog.
Sometimes being rigid just doesn't work. Our bag has a semi-firm internal structure so while it holds its shape, it can also be stuffed into tight spots.
We wanted the Vles GO-bag to be inocuous in an emergency. The bag is intentionally devoid of glaring paraphernalia or "bling" so as to be subtle and understated, not attracting unwanted attention.
When not being rolled or carried as a backpack, the Vles GO-bag can be carried by its handles, one on top and one on the side of the bag. Some people go for vertical, some horizontal.
We designed the Vles GO-bag to be a functional backpack. Our go-bag has a fully padded back, padded and adjustable shoulder straps, a fully padded waist belt, and upper strap adjusters.
We understand that people's lives revolve around technology. The laptop compartment in the Vles GO-bag is padded and easily accessible. The zipper is on the top of the bag; there's no need to open the bag to access your laptop.
An adjustable six foot tether is attached to the Vles GO-bag and can be found behind an outside, zippered pocket. It is attached to the bag, within the pocket, with a removable carabiner. The tether has many uses. It can be used to stay connected to a child or a pet or to attach the bag to a permanent object. We attached the tether to the right side of the bag for optimal sidewalk safety, ie. keeping your child or pet away from traffic.
The Vles GO-bag comes with a plastic sleeve. We use the plastic sleeve for copies of essential documents, prescriptions, passports and our Readiness Playbook and we put it in the messenger module.
The Vles GO-bag is equipped with an RFID-lined document pocket. The document pocket was built into the convertible messenger module so you can have your documents, your Readiness Playbook, your money and your credit cards no matter which bag you choose to use.
A chest strap emergency whistle is provided for ease and access. When summoning help in an emergency situation, having a whistle could be a life saver. You'll find a second emergency signal on the emergency radio. This siren sounds at 105 loud decibels.
Our supplies come packed in clear, zippered bags. These bags fit neatly inside the fabric modules. We strongly believe in a place for everything and everything in its place and these bags provide an extra layer of organization.
The VLES GO-bag is a product of over 100 years of emergency reponder expertise and knowledge.
