Find Out if You Live in an Earthquake Hot Zone
If you're interested in finding out if you live in an earthquake liquefaction zone, the California Conservation Corps has an interactive map that shows where these zones are. Just input an address and zoom in; the areas in green are liquefaction zones. Along with these zones, the map shows the location of the faults.
It's worth pointing out that liquefaction zones are not necessarily on fault lines and fault lines are not necessarily liquefaction zones. Characteristics of these zones are soft soils and a high water table.
